First day: Cusco, Mollepata and Soraypampa.
- We will leave the city of Cusco, in a bus, at approximately 5:30 am towards the town of Mollepata (2900msnm), where we will arrive at 8:30 a.m. we will continue to Cruzpata, where we will meet with the staff that we will accompany during our journey. At 9am we will start our trek to Soraypampa, located above 3850msnm, on the route we can enjoy beautiful scenery, snow-capped mountains such as the Salkantay and the valley of the Apurimac River. At the end of 13 hours we will enjoy a delicious lunch and then we will visit Lake Humantay, a wonderful lake and then we will return to the campsite where the tents will be ready as well as dinner.
Second day: Soraypampa, Salkantay and Chaullay
- After breakfast we will prepare to continue our trek to the Pampa de Salkantay and cross the left side of the Umantay mountain, which is next to the Salkantay peak, at 12 o’clock we will reach the highest point, Salkantay Humantay, located at 4500 masl, from the place we can see snows, glaciers and if possible spot an avalanche and after an hour we can have lunch and then continue with our walk to Chaullay, place where we will camp.
Third day: Chaullay and Santa Teresa.
- Around 5 o’clock in the morning we will start our walk towards Sahuayaco Beach, on the route we will go through the village of Collpapampa, in whose cloudy forest we can find waterfalls, fruit trees, variety of flora and birds. Upon our arrival to Playa Sahuayaco we will board a local bus, which will take us to the town of Santa Teresa. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit the thermal baths and spend the night there.
Fourth day: Santa Teresa and Aguas calientes.
- After breakfast we will visit the town of Santa Teresa and then we will walk towards Hidroeléctrica, on the route we will observe a great variety of plantations of coffee, banana, coca and other tropical fruits. Once we arrive at Hidroeléctrica we will have lunch and after a short rest we will continue towards Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu town, on the route we will see waterfalls, variety of flora and fauna, some constructions and Inca terraces. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes we will settle in the lodgings.
Fifth day: Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu and Cusco.
- Very early we will start our walk to the Inka citadel of Machu Picchu, for an hour and a half. Upon reaching the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will go through the control, where we will deliver our income tickets and begin our guided tour, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries, approximately for two hours. Then you will be given free time, to take a walk around the citadel, in the afternoon we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and go to our lodging, to take the bags, and arrive at the train station with due anticipation to return to the city of Cusco and then we will transfer you to your hotel.
