CUSCO-PITUMARCA- QUESANI-CUSCO
Very early we will pass by your hotel 03.30 am, we will take a transport through the south valley; passing small towns of the colonial era and the great landowners in the direction of the city of Cheaqupe after half an hour we will arrive at Pitumarca where it already announces that we are closer to the mountain of colors known as the “Wininkunka” From here the road is from land to the city of Hanchipata, where we had breakfast, the weather from this point is a bit cold.
We will continue with the transport to the city of Quesoyuni point of control of the hill of colors from here we will begin the walk until the top of the mountain until a height of 5200 msnm.
8:00 am. We will all prepare with our guide and riders, who will accompany us to the top of Winicunca or hill of colors, the first part is to walk on a plain pasture where thousands of alpacas graze, llamas. We also find pastors and people who still wear their native costumes.
09 a.m. – You will go uphill, from where you can see the sacred mountains of Ausangate and the mountains of the Vilcanota range.
10:00 a.m. – it is the moment when you reach the mythical foothills of the mountain color, with some effort, you start to climb to the top (5,200 meters), from where you have to appreciate the majesty of the colorful mountains, and the high glaciers Andean
Those who wish can go to the other side of the mountain, where the landscape is more beautiful because they are chains of mountains, yellow, green, violet, sprinkled with snow, under a blue sky.
11:00 am – Time to return to Quesoyuni, this time it will be easier, it will take approximately 2 hours.
After having seen the beautiful scenery we will board the car to return to Cusco, but before we will enjoy delicious lunch in the village of “Hanchipata” Novo Andean lunch.
